AFG Named a Great Place to Work® for Second Year Running

October 27, 2025

Alternative Futures Group (AFG) is proud to announce that we have once again been officially recognised as a Great Place to Work® – for the second consecutive year.

This achievement reflects the continued commitment of everyone across AFG to making our organisation a place where colleagues feel valued, supported and proud of the work they do every day.

With an impressive 80% colleague response rate, this year’s survey provides a powerful insight into how our people feel about working at AFG. The standout success isn’t just retaining our accreditation, it’s the significant rise in positivity scores across key areas of the survey, showing that the initiatives we’ve introduced to enhance the working experience are having a real impact.

In 2025, 71% of respondents agreed that AFG is a great place to work, up from an already strong 65% in 2024. Notably, we’ve seen positive increases in key statements including:

  • “I feel valued and appreciated for the work I do.”
  • “The organisation actively promotes mental and physical health among its employees.”
  • “I am proud to work for AFG.”
  • “My work has special meaning: this is not just ‘a job’

These improvements are a testament to our ongoing efforts to create a workplace where every colleague can thrive. Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow and develop a number of initiatives designed to enhance wellbeing, recognition, and reward – including long service awards, salary sacrifice schemes, a new reward platform, and expanded EDI initiatives

While we’re delighted with these results, we don’t take them lightly. Listening to colleague feedback remains at the heart of everything we do, and we’ll continue working together to make AFG an even better place to work.

Being recognised as a Great Place to Work® for a second consecutive year is a huge achievement, especially in a sector that continues to face significant challenges. It’s a reflection of the resilience, dedication, and compassion of our colleagues, and the collective commitment to delivering the best outcomes for the people we support.

And we are still growing…
